By land, there is only one border crossing between Cambodia and Laos, which is open to international travelers.

Border crossing Cambodia Dong Kralor – Laos Veun Kham

Veun Kham (also known as Veung Kham, Voen Kham or Voeun Kham) is a small Laotian village in the extreme south of Champasak province in Khong district. It is located right on the border with Cambodia with the village of Dong Kralor (also known as Dom Kralor or Dong Kalaw) 10 km away.

Krong Stung Treng, the nearest major city in Cambodia, is 57 km away. From there there are very good onward travel opportunities to Phnom Penh or Siem Reap with Angkor Wat.

Border crossing O’Yadav Cambodia to Le Thanh Vietnam

The international border crossing O’Yadav in Cambodia in the province of Ratanakkiri to Lee Thanh in Vietnam can be reached via the state road 78.

The international border crossing O’Yadav and Le Than in the central highlands of Vietnam is rarely used by tourists.

The border crossing is ideal for travelers who want to travel from the central highlands in Vietnam via Cambodia to Thailand.

From Pak Nhai border, take road 78 via Ou Ya Dav to Krong Stung Treng. Continue on road 64 via Krong Preah Vihear to Damdek.

From Damdek continue on road 6 towards Siem Reap, with Angkor Wat.

Continue on road 6 to reach the villages of Kralanh and Sisophon. From the town of Sisophon it is not far to the border crossing Poipet.

Border crossing Bavet – Moc Bai, Cambodia Vietnam

The Moc Bai – Bavet border crossing point is the most used border crossing on the Phnom Penh and Ho Chi Minh (Saigon) routes.

The state road 1 leads directly from Phnom Penh to the border to Vietnam and on the QL 22 to Ho Chi Min.

This route is served may times a day by various bus companies some also offer a night bus.

Border crossing Phnom Den – Tinh Bien, Cambodia Vietnam

The two border towns of Phnom Den in Cambodia and Tinh Bien in Vietnam can be reached from State Highway 2 from Phnom Penh.

This is not the first choice for those traveling from Phnom Penh to the countryside and waterway to Phu Quoc Island. A better alternative is the arrival via Ha Tien.

Border crossing Prek Chak Cambodia – Ha Tien Vietnam

You drive from Phnom Penh on the state road 3. After the village Angk Ta Saom there is a branch to Angkor Chey on the road 31.

From Angkor Chey continue on the 33 to Kampong Trach. From Kampong Trach, road 33 leads right to Kep and straight on to the Prek Chak – Ha Tien border crossing point.

Travelers arriving from Sihanoukville drive on Road 4 to Prey Nob. From Prey Nob it goes on the 3 over Kampot. From Kampot on the 33a to Kep and on to the border checkpoint Cambodia Vietnam Ha Tien.

From Ha Tien by ferry to Phu Quoc Island.

Border crossing Khorm Samnor – Vinh Xoung

From Phnom Penh in Cambodia by boat across the Mekong to Vietnam.

The border crossing Khorm Samnor – Vinh Xoung on the Mekong is not far from the two cities Tan Chau and Chau Doc in Vietnam.

Only a few kilometers away is the border crossing Phnom Den.

Border crossing Koh Kong Cambodia – Hat Lek Thailand

The Koh Kong border crossing point is located in the province of Koh Kong. The border town of Hat Lek is located on the Thai side in the province of Trat in Thailand.

For travelers traveling to and from Bangkok via Kampot and Kep this is the ideal border crossing. The same goes for Sihanoukville.

From Kep it goes on the 33a to Kampot and from there on the road 33 to Prey Nob for road 4.

From Sihanoukville on the state road 4 towards Phnom Penh via Prey Nob to Koh Kong.

From Prey Nob continue in the direction of Phnom Penh to the junction Srae Ambel. From Srae Ambel on the 48 over Tatai, in the Cardamom Mountains, to the city of Koh Kong and the border.

Border crossing Ban Pagkard Province Chantaburi – Phsa Prum Province Pailin

Ban Pagkard border post in Chantaburi Thailand and Phsa Prum province in Pailin Province in Cambodia is best suited for travelers who want to travel from Chantaburi to Battambang.

From the border, take the road 57 from Pailin to Treng and via Ratanak Mondul to Battambang. Battambang has bus services to Phnom Penh and other cities in Cambodia.

Ban Laem border crossing, Chantaburi – Daun Lem in Kamrieng, Battambang

The border crossing Ban Laem in Chantaburi Thailand and Daun Lem, Kamrieng in Battambang province in Cambodia is a little used border crossing point.

From Kamrieng you drive to the town of Bavel and on to Thma Koul. Arrived in Thma Koul it goes on the state road 5 in the direction of Battambang and Pursat to Phnom Penh.

The O’Smach Border Crossing Station in Samraong District, Oddar Meanchey Province, north of Cambodia, can be reached via the 56th Street of Sisophon and 66th Street of Siem Reap.

Only 200 meters before the border of Cambodia to Thailand on the road 66 in the district Choam is the Pol Pot cremation ground.

Continue on road 66 and drive via Anlong Veng to Siem Reap. In Siem Reap there are several bus companies with which you can travel through Cambodia.
